Kat Weymouth is a third-generation jewelry veteran with over 25 years of experience and expertise in the industry. She currently serves as the Director of Sustainability Rated Diamonds at SCS Global Services, a global leader in third-party environmental and sustainability verification, certification, auditing, testing, and standards development.
Kat is a certified bench jeweler and a GIA diamond graduate. She started her career in diamond wholesale for nine years in New York before moving back to retail. Over the next ten years, she held several positions at jewelry brands including diamond and merchandise buyer at Helzberg Diamonds and production and sourcing manager at Brilliant Earth.
Her extensive tenure is marked by a deep-seated passion for all aspects of the jewelry business including progression towards a more responsible, transparent, and sustainable jewelry industry.
