Phillips Nazro is an attorney known for providing practical, commercially-minded counsel to CEOs and business executives and serving as an integral part of the leadership team. Phillips understands that an effective in-house counsel must earn her or his seat at the table by understanding the company’s business and goals fully, and he communicates with clients in a practical and pragmatic way to advise based upon this deep-seated understanding. Phillips has been in-house for over 20 years, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Assistant Corporate Secretary at LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton-owned Marc Jacobs, the New York-based global fashion and accessories brand. Phillips also served as the head of Human Resources at Marc Jacobs. Prior to Marc Jacobs, Phillips was Vice President and General Counsel at David Yurman, the global fine jewelry and accessories brand. Phillips’ career has focused on taking a leading role and advising clients on corporate, employment, intellectual property, real estate, licensing, contracts, M&A, litigation, and bankruptcy issues both domestically and internationally. Phillips served as a board member for the Jewelers Vigilance Committee. Phillips is a graduate of the University of Texas School of Law and the University of Virginia. He is licensed in New York and Texas.
