All membership applicants must have the following prerequisites:
- Business must be based in the U.S. or abroad with a U.S. presence
- Student applicants must be currently enrolled in school
- Emerging designer applicants must have a business under 5-years old
All JVC Members agree to the Membership Requirements.

Advocates for the Jewelry Trade on the Government Level
JVC works with governmental agencies, including U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, the Federal Trade Commission, the U.S. Department of State and Departments of Consumer Affairs to educate these agencies on what the trade wants and needs. JVC is often asked by governmental agencies to provide comments prior to the enactment or revision of rules and regulations.
